Our North Miami Campus is located within a cultural and design mecca and hub of international business just north of Miami’s downtown and South Beach, and just south of Fort Lauderdale.

Public Transportation

The North Miami Campus is also well served by the public transportation systems of Miami-Dade County and the City of North Miami. Miami Dade Public Transit routes stop close to campus on Biscayne Boulevard, Northeast 16th Avenue and Northeast 123rd Street. For routes and schedules, visit Miami-Dade Public Transit or the Student Life Center. Discount bus passes for Miami-Dade Public Transit are available in the university bookstore.

The City of North Miami offers free public transportation through its community bus service, NOMI. NOMI buses stop on campus at University Center. For routes and schedules visit the the Student Life Center.

From points West

Follow Florida Turnpike South to Interstate 95 South. Follow the directions below.

From I-95 North or South

Take I-95 to Exit 10A (North Miami, Bal Harbour, NW 125 Street).

Turn east on Northwest 125th Street to Biscayne Boulevard (US-1).

Turn left on Biscayne Boulevard (US-1 North) then left onto Northeast 127th Street.

JWU is located at the intersection of Northeast 127th Street and 17th Avenue.

Parking is available in university parking lots and garages located adjacent to university facilities.

UPDATE: Driving on Campus

You’ll notice that we’ve made several improvements to our campus, including our pedestrian plazas. Traffic and parking will be affected:

  • NE 17th Avenue, between our Academic & Student Center and University Center, is now closed to traffic.
  • You can access the parking garage at the Biscayne Blvd. and NE 130th Street entrance.
  • Street parking along NE 17th Avenue is discontinued.
  • NE 17th Avenue, between NE 126th Street and NE 127th Street (just east of Arch Creek Parking Lot), is also closed to traffic.

Visitor parking is available on campus for visitors with a valid parking permit.

Parking Permits

Parking permits are handled by Safety & Security. All student, faculty, staff and visitor vehicles must be registered prior to parking on campus.

Campus Safety & Security is responsible for the registration of visitor vehicles, as well as student, faculty and staff vehicles, the maintenance of all university vehicles, the administration of all vehicle requests and the maintenance of all records pertaining to parking citations, applications, appeals and payment.

University-sponsored Transportation
