Bio

My background prior to teaching was in corporate finance and financial planning. I worked as a financial analyst for Fortune 500 companies for 7 years and then served as a financial planner for small businesses and individuals for 20 years.

I have been teaching finance and accounting since 1988, and joined JWU as an assistant professor in 1999.

I hold a BS in accounting from LeMoyne College, an MBA from Binghamton University, and a DBA (finance concentration) from Nova Southeastern University. I also hold the Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) designation.

In my classes, I emphasize real-world examples and the importance of being knowledgeable in finance and accounting. It is most important to me that students understand how finance and accounting relate to management positions that they might hold within a firm.
