Bio

I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in 1987. I earned a bachelor of science degree from Florida International University (FIU) in 1991, my MS from FIU in 1992 and PhD from Lynn University in 2001. Prior to joining JWU’s faculty, I worked as a chef for hotels, private country clubs and resorts. I also served as a personal chef to two professional baseball players during Spring Training.
