Bio

Charles Armstrong is a pastry chef instructor at JWU’s Providence Campus, where he has taught for 21 years. He currently teaches freshmen and sophomores the arts of sugar artistry, chocolates and confections, and advanced plated desserts. His passion is sharing his wealth of knowledge with students and interacting with them on a daily basis.

Armstrong was recently awarded a bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts and holds an associate degree from The Culinary Institute of America. He strives to improve himself by focusing on professional development via conferences and classes.

In relation to his professional career, Armstrong has been fortunate to work for prestigious hotels, including Loews Monte Carlo; the Four Seasons Biltmore Hotel in Santa Barbara, California; the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Amelia Island, Florida; the Hotel Saint Francis in San Francisco, California; and the Registry Hotel at Universal Studios, Los Angeles.
