Bio

Peter Bortolotti's professional background encompasses more than 35 years in the fields of brand management, product development, strategic planning, market research design and execution, and retail management.

He currently serves as a professor of Marketing at JWU's Providence Campus, and was recently elected chair of the Faculty Council.

In 2012, Bortolotti was a national finalist for the National Campus Compact Thomas Ehrlich Civically Engaged Faculty Award for exemplary leadership in engaged scholarship, contributions to the public good and advancing students’ civic learning.

A seasoned veteran of the athletic shoe industry, Bortolotti holds a principal position in Rhode Runner Inc., a specialty retail store integral to the Rhode Island running community.

In addition, he serves as board president of the Southside Cultural Center of RI, a nonprofit education and arts organization, and as board chairman of Stop Wasting Abandoned Property (SWAP).
