Bio

Associate Professor Kathleen Drohan, MAT, CHE, teaches at JWU Providence’s College of Hospitality Management. She specializes in sports, entertainment and event management

Drohan came to Johnson & Wales University in 2000 after 15 years in the recreation, travel & tourism and event planning industries.

As the director of Travel Practicum at JWU, she traveled extensively with groups of students around the globe and developed the one-month Study Abroad program to South Africa.

In addition to being a freshman advisor, Drohan is also a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE), a ServSafe instructor and a certified CPR/First Aid instructor. She is a member of the Adventure Travel Trade Association and the National Recreation and Park Association.

Drohan enjoys traveling and volunteering in community-based programming. She completed her Masters of Arts in Teaching (MAT) at Johnson & Wales University and received her undergraduate education from the University of Rhode Island.
