Bio

Michael Gendron has earned an MBA with honors from Bryant University and a BA from Rhode Island College. He has been an information technology professional and educator for 40+ years; he has worked in industry industry as a programmer, programmer/analyst, project manager and consultant.

Gendron was the founder and chief executive officer of his own software retail company for 13+ years. During his time in industry, he also served as an adjunct professor at several local colleges and universities.

He came to Johnson & Wales University eighteen years ago, first as an adjunct professor and then a full-time assistant professor. His extensive educational and work experience background allows him to teach a wide variety of technical courses in the hardware and software areas.

The courses Gendron teaches include Introduction to Operating Systems, Introduction to Data Communications, Diagnostics and Maintenance, Problem Solving and Programming Fundamentals, Systems Analysis, Systems Design, Information Management, Information Security, Database Concepts, Information Science, Project Management, Introduction to C programming, and Business Programming with COBOL.
