I worked in college athletics — both on and off the field — and then behind the scenes helping college athletics departments. Then I transitioned into teaching.”

Bio

My professional path to JWU began not in the classroom, but on the playing fields. After graduating from Lehigh University, I was an athletic coach and administrator for over 20 years at the NCAA Division I & III levels.

Along the way, I received a Master’s degree in Teaching from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a PhD in Sports Leadership from Concordia University in Chicago. I began teaching at the college level in 2009, and I find it incredibly rewarding.

My areas of specialization include sport management, sport business & economics, global sport, sports sociology, and athletic administration. I’ve done research regarding student-athlete experiences and philanthropy, and will be continuing research here at JWU.
