Have fun learning. For entrepreneurs, starting a business is not an indication of success. Instead, success is more likely the acquisition of tools and critical-thinking capacity to decide whether to pursue a business venture or an entrepreneurial lifestyle. ”

Bio

Born into a family of traveling diplomats, Mehdi Moutahir pursued his education at international schools where he was exposed to diverse cultures at an early age. He has lived in Sweden, France and Morocco, and developed a keen appreciation for and understanding of cultural differences.

Moutahir has extensive international travel experience collaborating on multidisciplinary projects with partners in education, government and private enterprise.

He has also developed numerous international programs in Australia, China, Guatemala, Mexico and Morocco.

Equipped with a B.S. in Management and an MBA in Organizational Leadership — as well as pursuing an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership from Northeastern University — Moutahir loves engaging students in collaborative, meaning-making experiences on topics relating to leadership, organizational behavior, international business and entrepreneurship.

As an active entrepreneur immersed in the local entrepreneurial scene, he brings real and current examples to illustrate entrepreneurship theory. His classes are often designed as experiential opportunities for students to assess the potential value of their entrepreneurial ideas, as well as rapidly prototype and test their value propositions.

Moutahir's advice to students is to have fun learning. For entrepreneurs, starting a business is not an indication of success. Instead, success is more likely the acquisition of tools and critical-thinking capacity to decide whether to pursue a business venture or an entrepreneurial lifestyle.
