Stephen C. Poplaski, Ph.D., CPA, CFP(r), is an assistant associate professor and program coordinator for the Certified Financial Planner Practitioner (CFP(r)) Certification Professional Education program at JWU Providence.

In private practice, he is the managing member of a fee-only, independent registered investment advisory firm representing high net-worth individuals and families. His academic research is focused on the behavioral aspects of financial decision-making, specifically intergenerational family transfers and the charitable behavior of Christians.

He serves on the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors’ national education committee and the university subcommittee working towards improving collaboration between academic researchers and practitioners.
