“In the classroom, I’m able to use ... the experience I have running a magazine [and] writing for major newspapers to tell [students] what it’s really like. ”

Bio

A graduate of the University of Virginia and Columbia Journalism School, I worked in the newsroom before focusing my career on education.  My expertise is in lifestyle writing, and I previously served as editor of The Improper Bostonian, a city magazine.

I later spent time abroad in Paris, covering travel, food and wine as a freelance correspondent for The Boston Globe.  I continue to publish articles while nurturing my students and their love of writing.
