Professor Megan Stoessell
In the classroom, I’m able to use the experience I have running a magazine [and] writing for major newspapers to tell [students] what it’s really like.

A graduate of the University of Virginia and Columbia Journalism School, Megan Stoessell worked in the newsroom before focusing her career on education. Her expertise is in lifestyle writing, and she previously served as editor of The Improper Bostonian, a city magazine.

Stoessell later spent time abroad in Paris, covering travel, food and wine as a freelance correspondent for The Boston Globe. She continues to publish articles while nurturing her students and their love of writing.
