Bio

Stephen J. Sullivan joined Johnson & Wales University in March 2013, and currently serves as an assistant professor focusing on project management.

With a 30-year career in the technology industry working for Fortune 100 companies, his business experience covers the manufacturing, marketing and financial services sectors. Sullivan brings a broad technology background to the university, including software development, data management and analytics, process reengineering, quality management, project and program management, education and training, and portfolio management.

His professional credentials include a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Six Sigma Green Belt designation, and he continues to be an active industry practitioner as a project management consultant. He is an active member in various professional organizations, including the Project Management Institute (PMI), the American Society for Quality (ASQ), the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Sullivan received his Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from the University of Rhode Island.
