What I love about advertising is that it’s never the same. At the end of the day, it’s really about being able to change people’s behaviors, and I find that really fascinating.”

Christine Ure has been with JWU since 2002, after working in the industry in the areas of advertising, media and public relations. She began her JWU career in the Career Development Office, managing internships for the Department of Marketing.

From there, her areas of responsibility grew to include the Colleges of Business, Hospitality, and Technology, as well as the Graduate School. She transitioned to a full-time faculty role in the fall of 2005, teaching exclusively in the Advertising program.

In that role, she partners closely with the American Advertising Federation (AAF), most notably with the AAF's National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC). She has been co-advisor to the JWU Ad Team since 2006. Under her co-direction, the JWU Ad Team won first place at Districts 7 times, twice won Best Plans Book at nationals, and placed in the top 4 overall at the national level every year 2011–15. Her areas of interest include nonprofit communications as well as strategic campaign development.
