Chef Frank Vollkommer, CMPC, is an Associate Instructor at Johnson & Wales University in the College of Culinary Arts Baking & Pastry program. 

In 2005, Chef Vollkommer completed the testing process to earn the distinction of Certified Master Pastry Chef through the American Culinary Federation (ACF). Chef Vollkommer is one of only 4 chefs to pass the rigorous 10-day exam to join a group of 11 European Certified Master Pastry Chefs with the ACF. 

Chef Vollkommer has held teaching positions at two major culinary schools, including The Culinary Institute of America and New England Culinary Institute, where he developed curriculum and taught classes in the baking and pastry degree programs. Vollkommer’s entrepreneurial pursuits to include the opening of a multi-location Pastry Shop and Cafe called The Chocolate Mill in 2009.  

Throughout Chef Vollkommer’s career he has regularly competed in national and international food shows, earning numerous medals, distinctions and awards. In 2010 Chef Vollkommer was named as one of the “Top 10 Pastry Chefs in America” by Dessert Professional.
