About Stephen

Stephen C Poplaski, PhD, CPA, CFP®, is an Associate Professor and Program Coordinator for the CFP® Certification Professional Education Program at Johnson & Wales University.

He teaches finance and accounting courses in the MBA, MS Finance, and DBA graduate programs.

In private practice, he is the managing member of an independent registered investment advisory firm providing individual wealth management, business consulting, and income tax services representing high net worth individuals, their families, and business entities.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Academy of Financial Services, the Financial Planning Association, the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, and serves as a peer reviewer of scholarly articles for the Journal of Financial Planning.

When not working with students at JWU, I am the managing member of a business consulting and financial planning firm. There I work with families and companies on some of the same subjects we discuss in our courses.
