Anne-Marie Townley

Anne-Marie Townley is an assistant professor of English at Johnson & Wales University, Charlotte. She graduated from the University of Southern Colorado with a double major in French and English. During her junior year, she studied at the Institut de Touraine, in Tours, France. She received a scholarship to study English at the University of Wyoming and earned an MAT in English with a concentration in literature from The Colorado College. Professor Townley has administrative and teaching experience at the college and university level. She taught English composition, speech, and literature at Pueblo Community College in Colorado and was Chair of the English Department. After moving to Charlotte, NC, she began teaching at Johnson & Wales University. She has taught a variety of courses in the Arts & Science Department at JWU including English composition, literature, film, speech communications, and French. Professor Townley is interested in cultures around the world and has traveled throughout Europe and Russia.
