About Jack

Jack Warner is associate professor in the higher education leadership doctoral program at Johnson and Wales University and consults with states about their educational attainment strategy. Prior to this, he was the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the South Dakota public higher education system.

Warner spent 7 years as Commissioner of the Rhode Island public higher education system. He spent 32 years in Massachusetts public higher education, including 5 as Vice Chancellor of the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education, two as Associate Chancellor at UMass Dartmouth and 17 as Dean of Student Affairs at Bristol Community College. He is a past president of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) and is a past chair of the Executive Committee of the State Higher Education Executive Officers (SHEEO).

Warner holds an Ed.D. in Educational Administration from Boston College, an M.Ed. in Student Affairs Administration from Springfield College, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Vermont. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Public Service by the South Dakota Board of Regents.
