Providence, R.I. – June 1, 2017 – Johnson & Wales University (JWU) Providence Campus President and Chief Operating Officer Mim L. Runey, LPD, has announced the appointments of Lily S. Hsu, EdD, as provost, and Billye W. Auclair, PhD, as vice provost as of June 1, 2017. Thomas Dwyer, who previously served as JWU vice chancellor and provost, will continue as vice chancellor, playing an integral role in the university’s strategic planning and exploration of opportunities.

“This leadership team provides the strong foundation on which we can continue to expand our academic programming and empower our faculty and students to strive for academic excellence,” said JWU President Runey. “As the university develops its next strategic plan, we will continue to review our organizational structure to best position Johnson & Wales University in the years to come.”

Hsu joined JWU in June of 2015, when she was appointed vice provost. She worked closely with Dwyer on academic program development and delivery, faculty scholarship, and student learning outcomes in curriculum. As provost, she will continue to be engaged on the strategic planning level, further defining faculty’s roles and responsibilities and outcomes assessment.

Auclair, who joined JWU in July of 2015 as associate provost, will now oversee the day-to-day operations of the academic administration.
