Biography

Jenifer LoVetere is a lecturer in the Mathematics Department at Johnson & Wales University. She earned an M.Ed. at the University of Virginia, a M.A. in Political Science (Quantitative Methods) at UConn, and a B.S. in Mathematics/Computer Science at the University of Hartford. Currently, she teaches biostatistics, statistics, pre-algebra and a Math of Art course. As a strong proponent of active and integrated learning, she tailors her course design and delivery to incorporate the themes of real-world application and experiential learning. She believes that “learning by doing” and exposure to an interdisciplinary education can enhance the student experience and provide lifelong tools.
