Biography
Stephen Pyle has served at Johnson & Wales University for over 30 years. He has held several faculty and administrative positions across multiple colleges, modalities, and campus locations. Stephen currently serves as Associate Dean for the College of Hospitality & Business. His passion is the role of the department chair in higher education. He has written and presented on the application of chair competencies, models for hiring and managing curriculum effectiveness across multi-campus, multi-modal systems. Professor Pyle earned his doctorate from JWU in 2023. He also holds a MS from Radford University (1993) and BS from Cornell University (1985).
