Florian Roth
Biography
Florian Roth, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Exercise & Sports Science at Johnson & Wales University and a JWU alumnus, having earned his B.S. in International Business magna cum laude. He later earned an M.A. in Motor Learning from Columbia University, Teachers College, and a Ph.D. in Health and Human Performance, specializing in Biobehavioral Science and Performance Psychology, from the University of Florida.
His research examines how aquatic environments and related stressors influence autonomic regulation, emotional responses, and human performance. A former professional ice hockey player, Florian brings experience spanning performance coaching, surfing, and the sport and human performance industry, including roles with adidas, Red Bull, and EXOS, to his research and teaching.
