Johnson & Wales University has a strong commitment to providing research experience to undergraduate students. The Center for Student Research and Interdisciplinary Collaboration (CSRIC) provides support to students and faculty who engage in or want to engage in research. CSRIC is where your research expands from coursework to conference presentation and journal publication.
What Happens at CSRIC?
Integrating multiple disciplines across our university, the center provides student research experiences, access to shared datasets and collaborations with faculty and peers, fostering innovative and interprofessional problem-solving. At CSRIC, students and faculty work closely on publishing articles, presenting at conferences, developing grants and collaborating with external partners.
Student Research Projects
The Center also sponsors the Student Research, Design & Innovation Symposium, which celebrates student accomplishments and highlights the breadth of research and innovation happening in JWU classrooms every day.

10 Students Published in Medical Journal
Ten JWU students were published in the Rhode Island Medical Journal. The June 2025 issue features a special section of research around the topic of young adult mental health, a growing public health issue, which debuted six original research studies by students and faculty.
