Aligning Public Health with Nursing

“Being a Public Health major has amplified what I am passionate about and helped me understand every side of healthcare, and I believe this knowledge will really help me in the future,” shared Aria Coutu ’26, who enrolled at JWU as a pathway to nursing.

Why Study Public Health at JWU Providence?

Johnson & Wales students prepare for entry-level careers or graduate study in areas such as health education, health promotion, research, monitoring and evaluation, and health and policy administration. No matter their path, JWU students are encouraged to become public health advocates under the mentorship of research-focused and industry-experience faculty. This means having an opportunity to influence health firsthand through directed learning, research or a public health-related internship.

In this program, you’ll:
