You can visit JWU’s Charlotte, N.C. campus by scheduling a campus tour, attending an open house, joining a virtual information session, or registering for a special event. Start with an on-campus tour to experience the labs, classrooms and suite-style residence halls, while immersing yourself in the vibrant city of Charlotte.

$5,000 Renewable Visit Grant

Earn $5,000 toward your tuition just for visiting campus! Incoming first-year students applying for the Fall 2027 semester who visit by December 1, 2026 may be eligible for the JWU Visit Grant, renewable for all four years.

Take a Campus Tour

We strongly encourage students to schedule a campus tour. This is a great opportunity to meet with Admissions, ask questions and experience everything JWU has to offer. Tours last approximately one hour and are available Monday through Friday, as well as on select Saturdays.

Group Visits for Educators

Are you an educator interested in scheduling a group tour? We’re excited to offer group visits for high school students, including an information session tailored specifically for high school students. Tours are offered Monday-Thursday and require a minimum of two weeks’ advance notice to coordinate.

Before your visit, view the Charlotte Campus map to get to know the campus, find directions, and review parking information. Visitors can park at the Cedar Street Parking Deck, accessed from Maple Street. Bring your parking ticket to the Admissions Center for validation.

What can I expect to see and do on a tour of the Charlotte campus? 

On a JWU Charlotte Campus tour, you can expect to listen to a brief admissions presentation before taking a guided walking tour with a current student from our Collegiate Ambassador Team. They will show you our labs, facilities, classrooms, residence halls, dining halls and student life areas. Throughout the tour, they can answer all your questions and share their firsthand experience as a JWU Charlotte student.

How long does a tour last? 

A tour of the JWU Charlotte Campus lasts approximately 60-90 minutes.

What can I expect to see and do at an Open House event? 

Open House events at Charlotte include in-depth information sessions so that you can meet faculty members and see our experiential lab spaces to learn more about specific programs. You’ll also learn more about financial aid, admissions and student life, sample the food at our dining hall and take a guided tour of campus. 

What can I expect to see and do at Career Explorations?

Career Explorations is a multi-day experience, so you’ll stay on campus in our residence halls to see what it’s actually like to be a JWU Charlotte student. Regardless of which program you choose, you can expect to have hands-on academic experiences as well as evening activities to connect with other students.
