Biography
Alana Dagenhart studies how poems grow from the land, how place informs poetry, and how poetry memorializes place. Dagenhart believes literature must be read in context of the greater historical framework that produces it. Her work explores the ties between people and the landscapes they inhabit. She is author of Yellow Leaves (Redhawk, 2022), and a 2025 Fulbright Scholar at the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen’s University Belfast, where she taught courses in Irish literature and place studies.
