Biography

Brian Campbell joined JWU’s Norfolk Campus in 1998 before relocating to Charlotte in 2004. He worked as an executive chef in hotels and restaurants in Oregon, Hawaii and Virginia and was a member of the board of directors for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia.

Since 2000, Brian has been a coach for medal-winning student competition teams in Norfolk and Charlotte. Brian has earned numerous gold and silver medals for ACF hot and cold food competitions including a gold medal at the IKA (Culinary Olympics) in Erfurt, Germany in 2008. Brian was a member of Team USA 2012 representing the ACF on the Regional Team that earned a silver medal and fourth overall in its category.
He is professionally certified by the American Culinary Federation as a Certified Executive Chef and a Certified Culinary Educator. He is also certified by the National Restaurant Association as a Foodservice Management Professional (FMP).
