Biography
David C. Hood is a Professor in the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program in the College of Hospitality and Business at Johnson & Wales University. He teaches exclusively in the doctoral program, advising students on research and supporting their scholarly development. Since joining the university in 2008, he has taught at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels across the Providence campus, former Denver campus, and online, and has served as the IRB’s inaugural and past chair.
Dr. Hood holds a B.S. and M.B.A. from Johnson & Wales University, an M.Ed. from Rhode Island College, and a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He also serves as a reviewer for the Academy of Management.
In addition to teaching, he consults with organizations, coaches leaders, and speaks on leadership, strategy, organizational behavior, and innovation. He lives in Denver and enjoys traveling, reading, and skiing.
