Biography

After graduating from NYU in 1994, Erin Wynn moved to South Korea where she started her teaching career. Wynn spent two years teaching ESL in Seoul, SK. When she moved back to the U.S., she returned to New York City and got a Master’s Degree in TESOL. While getting this degree, Wynn taught Language Arts at a middle school in Brooklyn, NY. In the early 2000’s, she decided to leave New York, and moved to Saudi Arabia for another opportunity to teach overseas. During this time, Wynn completed her studies at Hunter College and began the next step in her professional life. In 2006, Wynn moved to Providence, RI and began teaching at JWU. She was hired as an adjunct professor in 2006 and became a full-time faculty in 2007. She says, “I am truly fortunate to teach at JWU and consider myself lucky to be in the classroom with today’s students. I consider it a privilege to be teaching and learning in and out of the classroom with the future of our country.” Beginning her 21st year at JWU, Wynn knows that this opportunity has been by far the most interesting, challenging and rewarding teaching experience she has had to this day.
