Providence Campus

JWU Providence is the university’s flagship campus, offering the best of both worlds with an urban Downcity Campus in the heart of Rhode Island’s Creative Capital and a scenic Harborside Campus overlooking Narragansett Bay.

Students are just steps from downtown restaurants, cafés, theaters, the Providence Performing Arts Center, Amica Mutual Pavilion, and the city’s thriving arts and food scene — with Boston only about an hour away.

As the home of JWU’s renowned culinary and hospitality programs, Providence offers unmatched access to internships, industry partnerships and hands-on learning in one of New England’s top food destinations.

Labs & Spaces

At Harborside, Culinary Nutrition students work through three floors of kitchens, bakeshops and student-run dining rooms in the Cuisinart Center for Culinary Excellence, learning to cook and prepare food well enough to build menus your clients will actually want to eat. The Food Innovation Design Lab is nearby, where students develop and test new food products.
