Leave your mark on your community, and the world at large, by exploring graduate degree programs at JWU’s School of Education. If you’re interested in entering this exciting field, or want to advance your current teaching career, we will help you improve your career, and the lives of others.
We offer specialized master’s or doctoral degree programs – each of which builds upon JWU’s pioneering educational approach, combining theory, research and practice. You’ll develop the hands-on, professional skills needed to improve student learning in an increasingly diverse educational environment.
For aspiring or practicing educators, we offer two master’s degree programs: the M.Ed. Program in Teaching and Learning, for those who are currently teachers; and the M.A.T. Program in Teacher Education, which prepares elementary, elementary special education, secondary special education, business, or food service educators. Upon graduating, you’re prepared to apply for dual certification in special education alongside one of three content areas, with the option of attaining a triple certification.
If you aspire to advance to a leadership position in education, the Ed.D. Program prepares you for professional educational leadership in school districts or higher education institutions worldwide. Offering two areas of concentration – focusing on primary/secondary schools or higher education – this program provides the skills to foster change in the industry.
