Marcia Kramer received her culinary training at Johnson & Wales University’s Providence Campus. Her background in front of the house service and management was essential to her success within the industry. She has worked in the pastry field for 20+ years, and has worked with such top chefs as Christian Clayton of the Broadmoor Hotel.
She joined the faculty of JWU’s Denver Campus in 2001, and was promoted to the position of associate professor in 2009. She is active in both the American Culinary Federation (ACF) and the Colorado Chefs Association (CCA), as well as Les Dames d'Escoffier International (LDEI).
Chef Kramer shares her passion for all things food-related by encouraging students to find what inspires them and to work through goal- and intention-setting to maximize the benefits of their career-focused education.
Chef Kramer currently resides in Boulder with her 2 cats, Bodhisattva and Pranayama. An avid outdoor enthusiast, you can find Marcia rock climbing, hiking, camping, snowboarding or otherwise enjoying nature.
