The Larry Friedman International Center for Entrepreneurship Providence
Campus
Entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs are innovators and risk takers that have
done their homework. Entrepreneurs create and make things happen. They
create surprises and make things happen. Entrepreneurship is the process
of starting, organizing, managing and assuming responsibility for one's
own business or enterprise. Intrapreneurs are change agents and innovators
that take entrepreneurial principles and put them to work in an existing
business. The Larry Friedman International Center for Entrepreneurship
includes a small business incubator and a professional development program.
As an Entrepreneurship major you will have an opportunity to solve the
kinds of problems that you would face if starting your own business
but without the costly risks involved in the trial and error process.
Through classroom discussion, case studies and special speakers, successful
entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs will guide you as you also learn how to
avoid the classic errors in starting and operating a business and how
to apply these skills in an existing organization.
