International Business
Bachelor of Science Students enrolling in the International Business
program will become business fluent in a new, global business language
and culture. Global business languages include English, French, German,
Spanish or other University-approved language. This language requirement
pertains to all International Business students, regardless of current
language expertise.
The first two years of this program introduce students to the world of
international business, complemented by general education and specific
language study. The final two years offer more advanced business courses
with an international experience emphasis.
An important component of the educational experience in the International
Business program is the general studies courses taught out of the John
Hazen White School of Arts and Sciences. Graduates are expected to show
competencies in higher order thinking, ethics, responsible citizenship
and leadership. The following literacies should also be demonstrated:
sociocultural, quantitative, scientific and informational.
electives Students should use Bachelor of Science Electives
to create a meaningful, customized career concentration. The University’s
Career Management System will facilitate these selections.
careers Graduates of the four-year International
Business program are trained to assume entry-level management positions
with firms operating in the global environment.
