Cedar Hall South Parking LotResident Student Parking
The Charlotte Campus has approximately 300 parking spaces for students to use during the 2006-2007 school year. Due to the limited number of parking spaces available, first year students are strongly discouraged from having vehicles on campus. Public transportation is readily available for students to use. The campus is in close proximity to Uptown Charlotte and public transportation can be used for both employment and social opportunities. Students who choose to bring a car will receive a parking permit application during the summer, or can print the Parking Permit Application below.

Mail the completed Parking Permit Application with payment to:

Safety & Security
Johnson & Wales University Charlotte
801 West Trade Street
Charlotte, NC 28202

Students who plan to bring a vehicle and park on University property must complete an application and return it to campus Safety & Security as soon as possible. Students who submit a parking application are not guaranteed a University parking space; however, the permit fees are:

  • $400.00 for the full academic year
  • $150.00 for the term
Note: Purchasing parking for the full academic year saves 12% off the cost for buying by the term!

Additional parking is available in privately owned lots within six blocks of the Academic Center. The cost for this parking varies depending on the location. Parking on residential streets will result in towing and fines.

For more information on resident student parking, please call 980-598-1906 or 980-598-1904.

Commuter Parking
Parking is limited near the Charlotte Campus, and commuters are encouraged to contact private parking providers to arrange for daily or monthly parking. The following parking providers have several lots in the Uptown area and are located within 6 blocks of the Academic Center.
