Impending Winter Storm
Due to the impending winter storm forecast for our region, Providence Campus operations for Monday, February 1 are impacted as follows:
CLASSES/LABS
All College of Food Innovation & Technology (CFIT) morning labs scheduled for Monday, February 1 will be held however, dismissal will be at 12 p.m. (noon).
All CFIT afternoon labs scheduled for Monday, February 1 are cancelled. Students are to check uLearn for class assignments from their faculty.
All undergraduate and graduate classes offered remotely will continue as scheduled in that format.
All in-person undergraduate and graduate academic classes will move to remote delivery for Monday, February 1. Students are to check uLearn for class assignments and/or any alternate meetings or expectations from their faculty.
INTERNSHIPS. Students participating in an internship at a local organization must check with their employer/supervisor to see if they are required to report to work on Monday.
PARKING. A parking ban along Harborside Boulevard will be in effect at midnight tonight until further notice. In addition, residential students with cars in other lots on campus, except those at Centennial House, are encouraged to move them to the F-Lot at the Harborside Campus to aid in the snow removal process.
MANDATORY COVID-19 TESTING. All scheduled appointments for mandatory COVID-19 testing for students, faculty and staff on Tuesday, February 2 have been rescheduled for the same time on Thursday, February 4. To reschedule your appointment, go to the appointment link you received. Wednesday testing will proceed as scheduled. If you have not signed up for a time slot or requested an exemption, you must do so now.
STAFF. Non-essential staff working remotely as a result of our current campus operations due to COVID-19 will be expected to continue working remotely. Non-essential employees who work on campus, should check with their supervisor as to whether they are considered essential or to determine if they can work remotely. Essential personnel must report to work on campus.
