Class Cancellation and Parking Ban Notice for Tuesday, February 13

In continuing to monitor the winter weather developing tonight into Tuesday morning, the university has made the decision to cancel classes at the Providence campus tomorrow, February 13, 2024. In-person classes and labs will not meet as scheduled; however, faculty should provide course update information for students on course uLearn sites. Please note: this cancellation does not impact online courses in the College of Professional Studies or virtual classes, which will proceed as normal.

Staff should check with their manager to determine if they are considered an “essential” employee during this weather event. If your manager informs you that it is not essential for you to work tomorrow, then please further consult with your manager to determine what work you may need to do tomorrow and what work may be rescheduled.

Please be aware that tonight (Monday, February 12) beginning at 8 p.m., all vehicles:

  • in the Harborview lot
  • parked behind Harborside Village
  • or in the A, B, D, E and G lots

will be required to move to the north end of the F Lot closest to the buses. There will also be no parking permitted on Harborside Boulevard.

Based on the storm predictions, Wildcat Wheels will operate on a weekend bus schedule unless service needs to be delayed further due to safety concerns. For dining, transportation, library, computer lab, and fitness center schedule updates, you should check the JWU Social Media directory and follow the below official university resources:
