Ready to apply to JWU?

Here’s what you'll need to do:

Undergraduate Documents Needed

  • Official secondary school transcript showing subjects and marks received with graduation date. Diplomas and any external examination results should be submitted, if applicable. Students who have not yet graduated from secondary school must submit a transcript showing all completed work, and expected results and graduation date may be submitted for review.
  • Certified word-for-word translations must be submitted with all non-English documents.
  • Applicants who have attended any college or university must submit transcripts, marks sheets, diplomas or certificates from all post-secondary institutions attended, along with course descriptions and credit values for transfer review.
  • Copy of Passport
  • Bank Statement Showing 1 Year of Funding
  • JWU Undergraduate Financial Declaration Form (PDF)
  • There is no fee to apply to Johnson & Wales University

Undergraduate Applicant Information

For Fall enrollment, JWU will begin issuing international undergraduate admission decisions after November 1st. After November 1, provided all required documentation is received by JWU, applicants receive admission decisions within one to two weeks of applying for all term starts. Again, it is imperative the university receives your completed application and all supporting documentation when requested in order for us to adhere to this admission timeline. We recommend you apply at least 30-40 days prior to your intended start date. Visit Undergraduate Admissions for more information on requirements and deadlines.

Spring Semester Deadlines

Students are encouraged to complete the application process as soon as possible before the semester start, preferably 30 days prior.

Graduate Applicant Information

International graduate admission decisions are made on a rolling basis, year-round. Provided all required documentation is received by JWU, applicants receive admission decisions within one to two weeks of applying. Again, it is imperative the university receives your completed application and all supporting documentation when requested in order for us to adhere to this admission timeline. Students are encouraged to apply 60 days prior to your intended start date.

US Transfer Applicant Information

Students applying for transfer admission to JWU from another institution in the USA are subject to the above review processes. However, your I-20 can be transferred only after it has been released by your current institution.
