Preparing students and providing them with the skills needed for immediate
employment and career success is what Johnson & Wales University is
all about! From the moment you set foot on our campus, you will begin
to focus on career choices and the courses and skills you will need to
achieve immediate and long-term career success.
In addition to developing a curriculum based on the skills that industry
leaders tell us they are looking for and hiring faculty who are proven
leaders in their fields, JWU
is geared to help you make the right career choices. Whether you are a
prospective student, a current student, or a graduate, we can tap our
resources to help you find the most interesting and worthwhile career
options.
Career Development Services
career coaching Career Coaching helps students
focus on a career path, determine the right marketable combination of
work and academic experience, and improve or update a resume or interviewing
skills. Students may contact their Career Coach by sending a message through
the CMS Online System, or by contacting our office.
career library Our Career Library, located directly across from the Career Development Office on the first floor of the College of Business, northwest side, is in a continual
stage of growth, as we add new company brochures and information weekly.
The library offers Co-op and Externship site listings and employment brochures,
with benefit and site information, for local and national companies. When you visit
our Career Library, we encourage you to ask one of our staff for assistance!
job searching Use Career Development as a resource
for both job searching and career planning. We can help you search for open
