Athletics at JWU Charlotte

JWU’s Charlotte Campus is home to 12 varsity teams and is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). JWU has excellent facilities for a school its size. Combine that with the opportunity to play in big games and national championships, and the stage is set for a really attractive product for potential recruits.

That standard of excellence also extends to our student-athletes. In 2021-22, JWU Charlotte had 27 USCAA All-Academic honorees and 16 USCAA All-Americans across all varsity sports. In addition, Charlotte Athletics was also honored with National Coach of the Year, National Player of the Year, and National Student-Athlete of the Year in women’s basketball.

But if organized sports aren’t your thing, there are SO many other options to choose from, including intramurals, recreational play, and fitness classes. Our 30,000-square-foot Wildcat Center has a full-service fitness center for group and individual workouts.

In this video, explore the Charlotte Wildcat Center (located behind the Academic Center). This 33,000-square-foot space is home to Athletics, Student Involvement & Leadership and various student organizations. It also includes a 600-seat gym, a fitness center, group fitness room, locker rooms and the Wildcat Den student meeting area.
