Explore a variety of careers in the fields of baking & pastry arts, criminal justice, culinary arts, fashion or hospitality. Our programs are offered at all JWU campuses and run between two and six nights, over which you can experience life at JWU and discover the path to your future.

Criminal Justice “CSI” Camp

Taught by JWU’s College of Arts & Sciences Criminal Justice faculty, campers will learn about criminal justice careers through hands-on forensics work, a visit to a famous crime scene and the state lab.

Culinary Kids Camp

Young culinary enthusiasts will participate in a variety of food-focused activities, allowing them to explore the many aspects of food. Some of these activities will include different kitchen cooking and baking techniques as well as methods of sourcing food and various food science experiments.

Culinary Teens Camp

Culinary enthusiasts will participate in a variety of food-focused activities, allowing them to explore the many aspects of food. In the morning, teens will work hands-on in the kitchen, learning different culinary cuisines and cooking techniques. The afternoon sessions will include a look at the pastry arts and the creative, as well as practical aspects, of the “sweet” side of the food world. They will work to understand the global food system and its impact on the world in which we live.

Esports: Overwatch Camp

Learn hand-eye coordination, decision making and communication with teammates in the heat of the moment. Experienced Overwatch players will teach players the strategy of the game, which heroes to use, how to understand the maps and how to hone in on “Ults” for those clutch situations. The core skills particpants develop — time management, focus, teamwork — are useful in and out of the game.
