Maureen Farrell
Department Chair and Professor
JWU Faculty Since 1992
A longtime resident of New England, Maureen Farrell has spent many years teaching study abroad programs with JWU students. She loves to teach online as well as in the classroom; she teaches many subjects including literature, art history and film.
Farrell received her Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame and her lifelong passion for the novel infuses all courses she teaches — the heroes and heroines and their journeys are always her focus.
As chair of the Humanities department, Farrell's favorite task is helping students — whether it be learning how to register or discussing what courses will interest them and help them achieve their goals. She truly loves assisting students on their own journeys!
