Meet America’s Newest Almost Famous Chef

JWU North Miami culinary student Destiny Antommarchi has won the title of 2015 S.Pellegrino Almost Famous Chef — and a year-long culinary apprenticeship.

Antommarchi competed against 4 other regional finalists for the title, presenting her signature dish of Asian Inspired Grouper. Antommarchi was joined at the finals competition by her chef mentor Chad Anderson.

“We are thrilled to name Destiny Antommarchi the 2015 S.Pellegrino Almost Famous Chef,” said Chef Anderson. “This competition is a unique opportunity to recognize the shining stars within our industry’s culinary schools and throughout the program Destiny has stood out for her fresh style, skilled technique and culinary passion.”
