Wildcat Memories: Highlights from 2021 JWU Providence Commencement

Although this year’s Commencement ceremonies did not quite follow tradition, there was no shortage of joyful celebration. Masks and social distancing couldn’t dim the sense of pride as JWU Providence graduates, in full regalia, reflected on their time at JWU — and looked ahead to a bright future.

The videos below capture just a fraction of the special memories of the 2020-21 academic year, as well as the big emotions of Commencement Week.

In the first video, relive your amazing memories here with a rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams” arranged & performed by JWU’s own Cutting Edge A Cappella.

And get your tissues ready for the Commencement recap video. A new tradition this year: “Grad Walks,” which allowed our Classes of 2020 and 2021 to celebrate this major milestone (in socially-distanced fashion, of course) with a jubilant walk across a decorated stage to get their diploma. (This setup allowed for multiple photo opportunities, as well.)

You can also watch the Commencement ceremonies in full on the JWU YouTube channel.
