5 Things You Might Not Know About JWU Charlotte

The city of Charlotte, North Carolina offers an eclectic mix of modern architecture, historic landmarks, delicious food options and Southern charm. It continues to be one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S., making it a perfect place for JWU students to find endless opportunities.

We love our close-knit campus in this city, and there are a lot of cool things about JWU Charlotte. Here are five things you might not know about our Charlotte Campus.

1. You’re just minutes from Uptown Charlotte, the heart of the city.

JWU Charlotte offers a great location close to Uptown, which puts students just a short walk away from tons of amazing restaurants, event venues, pro sports arenas, and beautiful green spaces like Romare Bearden Park. There’s always something fun for students to do!

2. The CityLynx Gold Line Streetcar, which is free to use, has a stop right on campus.

Getting to Uptown is even easier when the City Lynx Gold Line can take you there for free! With a stop right in front of the Academic Center, this four-mile streetcar route makes 17 stops that begin in the Historic West End and take you all the way through City Center Charlotte and into the Elizabeth neighborhood. Did we mention it’s free to use?

3. Our campus is just .6 miles from the Carolina Panthers' stadium!

One of the many pro sports teams who play near our campus, the Carolina Panthers are practically a stone’s throw away from JWU at their Bank of America Stadium. Our students can catch a game without worrying about parking or traffic!
