Academic Advisory Council

As part of the JWU’s latest strategic plan, Powered by Purpose 2024, the university has created advisory councils for each college to strengthen professional ties to key industries. Council members are industry leaders who regularly meet to advise respective college deans on policy and planning; they also serve as advocates and ambassadors of the college.

Each member of the Advisory Council brings a specific area of expertise to JWU. We welcome their guidance, knowledge, skills, and feedback to ensure that the university’s offerings are relevant and of high quality.

The first college to select its council is the College of Food Innovation & Technology (CFIT), which has appointed 15 inaugural members. The College of Hospitality Management has 13 members for its inaugural board.

The councils for the College of Arts & Sciences, the College of Business, the College of Engineering & Design, and the College of Health & Wellness are expected to be announced during the upcoming academic year.
